WWE had some out-of-the-box gimmicks during the whole 90s period and Gangrel was one of them. He was a vampire on screen who drank blood during his entrance and spit it in the air. He even implanted real sharp teeth in his mouth. The Brood entrance is one highlight of the attitude era.

Gangrel, who is 52 years old now, is still wrestling on the independent circuit. Recently, he got married to his girlfriend Susan Nelson at a beach wedding. The wedding was attended by AEW star Miro and Sinn Bodhi, also known as Kizarny in WWE. Both were dating for some time and eventually tied the knot this month.

Gangrel had made a deal to appear on AEW in August 2021 in his Brood like gimmick. However, it never happened as Edge did the Brood entrance on WWE before AEW during his feud with Seth Rollins. It was during the SummerSlam season. As a result, AEW scrapped the plans for Gangrel.

Edge apologized to Gangrel later on when he got to know about this. He just wanted to surprise and pay tribute to Gangrel. Edge’s surprise costed Gangrel an opportunity, but both are good instead of this.
