The sudden departure of Vince McMahon was certainly a bolt out of the blue for the WWE Universe. Mr. McMahon had been in the business for almost 40 years. Throughout his career, he delivered fame and fortune to many superstars through his promotion. One of the reasons why many superstars admire The Boss was that he was always there for many of the wrestlers. But after his retirement, McMahon lost touch with his superstars.
The retirement left one of the former superstars hanging, as he never heard from Mr. McMahon after he left the company. In an interview, the WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle said that he lost contact with Vince McMahon. The Olympic gold medalist described the situation on the Wrasslinews YouTube channel.

Kurt Angle said, “I just talked to Stephanie a couple of weeks ago because I couldn’t get a hold of Vince anymore. I’d imagine that he had to turn in his company phone and that was the only way I could get a hold of him. I had his number and I would call him here and there and talk to him and see how he was doing.”
While Kurt Angle couldn’t get hold of McMahon’s situation, he decided to call his daughter Stephanie. Angle and Stephanie McMahon have previously shared a love triangle storyline on the WWE.

Stephanie McMahon assured King Kurt that Vince McMahon would reach out to him, but the American Hero was still waiting. “I texted him a couple of times after he left and he never responded. I found out that they did take the company phone from him so I don’t have any way to get a hold of him, but Stephanie told me she would talk to Vince and he would reach out to me, I’m still waiting though.”
Although the reason the American Hero wanted to call his former boss was to check up on him, we can’t rule out the possibility of Mr. McMahon having a plan regarding Kurt Angle and WWE. However, now his daughter and son-in-law are in charge. Perhaps King Kurt can come back into the company as the trio has a widespread history.
