We’re just a day away for 2020’s long overdue conclusion! The year was surely not what we wanted it to be. However, pro wrestling didn’t stop and gave a ton of great memories even in this challenging year. Most notably, NXT continued to deliver quality action and interesting storylines despite facing problems due to the pandemic.
With the recent culmination of the Slammy Awards, NXT is gearing up for its own version of the same, the NXT Year End Awards – a staple of the brand since 2016. The black and gold brand kept up to its reputed name and delivered some impressive performances this year too!

WWE recently uploaded a video on YouTube revealing the nominees for this year’s Rivalry of the Year.
The nominees for Rivalry of the Year include Cameron Grimes vs Dexter Lumis, Damian Priest vs Johnny Gargano, Robert Stone vs Shotzi Blackheart, Rhea Ripley vs Raquel Gonzalez, Kay Lee Ray vs Piper Niven, Candice LeRae vs Io Shirai, Ilja Dragunov vs WALTER, and Adam Cole vs Pat McAfee.
Honestly, that’s a loaded card of nominees for one award. But if we had to remove a couple from there, then Grimes vs Lumis and Robert Stone vs Shotzi Blackheart would go out first.
Who will win Rivalry of the Year 2020?
Damian Priest and Johnny Gargano had a gripping and fun rivalry for the North American Championship. Even though WALTER and Ilja Dragunov tore the house down with their hard-hitting rivalry, if we had to make a pick for who would win the NXT Rivalry of the Year, it would be Adam Cole vs Pat McAfee.
