WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions, Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro, will defend their titles against The Lucha House Party at the upcoming WWE Clash of Champions.
As of now, there’s no word on the two members from The Lucha House Party who will come forward and compete in this match. Between Kalisto, Gran Metalik, and Lince Dorado, Metalik and Kalisto secured a win over the Tag Team Champions in a non-title match. Therefore, Metalik and Kalisto have higher chances.
On the other hand, Cesaro secured a win over Metalik in a singles match. This was following the ejection of Lince Dorado and Kalisto from ringside, owing to their constant argument.

Why didn’t WWE book The Street Profits vs Cesaro-Nakamura?
However, this is not the only confusion arising from this match. The next one is the current feud between the WWE SmackDown Tag Team champions (Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura) and the WWE Raw Tag Team champions (The Street Profits).
As per the latest development in their feud, the current SmackDown champions challenged The Street Profits. This was for a champion vs champion match. The latter happily accepted the challenge.
On top of that, they helped The Lucha House Party (Metalik and Kalisto) secure the win over Cesaro and Nakamura.
Therefore, all things considered, ideally, the battle at Clash of Champions should have been between The Street Profits and Cesaro-Nakamura.
It’s also important to remember the changes brought about by the pandemic. WWE did not consider Tag Team matches as a priority. Due to this, The Street Profits have been the reigning Tag Team champions for as long as one can remember.
Hence, to even develop a proper feud between the two Tag Teams, the company will need to prioritize these matches more.
This could be one of the possible reasons why Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura will face The Lucha House Party instead of The Street Profits at Clash of Champions.
Additionally, The Lucha House Party has been trying to be a part of the Champions deck for a while now. This could be their chance to have a slot in the Champions club.
