Sasha Banks and Bayley have been holding the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles for the last couple of months with minimal competition. However, it’s finally time for them to defend the titles against Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax at WWE Payback coming Sunday.

Interestingly enough, Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler aren’t actually friends. The fact that they attacked each other on Monday Night RAW is evidence enough. Nevertheless, both Superstars have decided to keep their differences aside for the Championship match.

In fact, the story of Jax and Baszler’s union to fight The Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection for the Women’s Tag Team Titles is rather unusual. During Monday Night RAW, Baszler was at war with Bayley in the ring. It so happened that Nia Jax tripped Baszler during the match – resulting in a disqualification.

Obviously, this led to a confrontation between Nia Jax and Baszler. While this battle was going on, Sasha Banks and Bayley were encouraging it from the sidelines. This prompted Jax and Baszler to put their differences aside and deal with the common threat.

Fast forward to a backstage segment, Jax and Baszler decided to come together and challenge Sasha Banks and Bayley for the Women’s Tag Team titles.

As per my prediction, Sasha Banks and Bayley will successfully retain their titles. The primary reason being that WWE might not go ahead with stripping Sasha Banks of both her straps in such a short duration.

Banks already lost her WWE Raw Women’s Championship to Asuka at SummerSlam 2020. Hence, it seems unlikely that The Boss will lose both titles within the span of a week.

Nonetheless, this is just a prediction. The coming Sunday will surely give us an idea about the future of the Raw Women’s division.
