WWE has announced some blockbuster matches for the upcoming Survivor Series. The speculation was that it will boil down to a Raw vs. SmackDown series. However, some believed that it would involve all three brands and NXT would be a part of the matches. Unfortunately, most of the stars of the bLack and Gold brand are injured.
As of now, the company has announced four matches. These matches are between WWE Raw and WWE SmackDown. Interestingly, the company followed the pre-NXT model and all matches are between champions of the same level.
Four matches made official for Survivor Series:
– New Day vs. Street Profits
– Asuka vs. Sasha Banks
– Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton
– Bobby Lashley vs. Sami ZaynLooks like NXT is not involved this year.

The four matches include Women’s Championship Title, Men’s championship Titles, and Men’s Tag Team Championship Title.
WWE is digging up past rivalries for Survivor Series
All four matches include the best of the best on the WWE roster and bring up old rivalries. For example, Asuka and Sasha Banks battled couple of months back where Asuka stripped Banks off the Raw Women’s Championship title.
Even though Banks is the current WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion, she has not forgotten the humiliation of losing the Raw title. This factor will come into play when both Superstars enter the ring putting their titles on the line.
Roman Reigns and Randy Orton had a very personal rivalry back in 2015. Since then, both Superstars have grown, changed personalities, and have become monstrous. The rejuvenation of this rivalry will be an interseting watch.
Let’s not forget that both The Viper and The Tribal Chief have gone through immense trouble to hold the WWE Championship title and the WWE Universal Championship title, respectively. There is not an ounce of doubt that both of them will be ready to do anything to defend the honor of their brands and their titles.

Survivor series 2020 will be mostly about the Superstars trying to establish brand supremacy. This is a smart way for the company to put champions against each other without having to establish separate storylines for them.
Regardless of which brand comes out on top, WWE will win. This is exactly what the company wants.
