2k has kept the WWE fans excited ahead of release. Not only for in-ring entertainment but also for video games. The upcoming WWE 2k24 will have new match types and updated entrances. Jey Uso is being updated with his Yeet merch. We’ll also get to see Main Event Uso with his wavy energetic entrance. Dirty Dominic Mysterio also received a major update, he is now in-game officially part of The Judgment Day this year.

However, this year is not being kind to WWE and 2k. There have been recent controversies around former chairman Vince McMahon and the Beast Brock Lesnar. The immediate thought that is coming to everyone’s head is: will they even be part of the game?

2k has yet to give an official statement about the availability of the two in the game. However, according to reports, The Beast will be an unplayable character. It was too late in the development stage to remove him from the game, therefore Lesnar’s game files are still in use in WWE 2k24. There is no update on McMahon’s character in-game because of the nature of the controversy. Fans are speculating that the former chairman was going to be important in 40 years of WrestleMania stories, however, this might not be likely anymore.

As for Lesnar, John Cena is replacing Lesnar from the latest 40 years of WrestleMania 2k24 cover. Meanwhile, stars who have been laid off from the promotion, or whose contracts have expired have also been omitted from the game, including Matt Riddle, Dolph Ziggler, Mansoor, Mustafa Ali, Goldberg, and Lacey Evans.

What more changes will 2k be able to do before the game releases on 8th March 2024? Well, some superstars have made their debut recently on WWE programming. There has been no update regarding them, so this has fans wondering if it is too late for them to be added.

Apart from Cody Rhodes, a few more superstars on the main roster have recently jumped ship from AEW to WWE. Andrade was a surprise entrant in the Men’s Royal Rumble on January 27, 2024. Andrade who was with WWE previously was also part of WWE 2k19 and 2k20.

Jade Cargill who signed with WWE in September in 2023, made her in-ring debut just like Andrade during Royal Rumble PLE. There is a possibility she is part of the game as she has been part of the company far longer than Andrade. CM Punk returned to WWE during the Survivor Series PLE in Chicago. Even though Survivor Series PLE was in November, Punk made his televised return during the Men’s Royal Rumble event. Punk previously has been part of WWE games from 2008 until 2014.
