WWE 2K23 Adds 3 Hall of Famers to the Game After Revealing John Cena on the Cover

What happens when WWE superstars of yesteryears compete against the current crop? This debate has been raging on for quite some time now. It may not be possible for viewers to witness such a spectacle. However, they sure have the option to play it out on their gaming consoles. The arrival of WWE 2K23 was teased just last month on the web world. Now the addition of some of the fan-favorite performers to the game has increased excitement to the next level.

The 2K series has been around since 2014 but it is awaited every year anxiously by wrestling and gaming fanatics alike. It not only gives the fans an option to step into the shoes of their favorite superstars, but also to enjoy different modes. The game is always looking for ways to capture followers’ imagination. And it has certainly not disappointed by adding some wrestling greats to the mix.

WWE 2K23 includes legends in the game

WWE Hall of Famer trio of Booker T, Lita, and Beth Phoenix have been added to the already star-studded lineup as per comicbook.com. All three of the aforementioned performers have recently made appearances in the squared circle. The latest of which has to be Lita aka Amy Dumas who made an appearance during this week’s Raw.

She made the save for ‘The Man’ Becky Lynch who was facing a major numerical disadvantage against the Bayley-led Damage Ctrl. It remains to be seen what lies in the future for the former women’s champion.

The cover for the game features a familiar face

The 2K23 features ‘The Doctor Of Thuganomics’ John Cena on its cover this year. Absolutely fitting as his years of dominance in the squared circle almost commands it. The Cenation Leader was last seen in the promotion during the final SmackDown of 2022. 

As for ‘The Glamazon’ Pheonix, she appeared at this edition of the red brand along with real-life husband Adam Copeland aka Edge. The pair would be seen in action at the upcoming Elimination Chamber. They would be competing in a mixed-tag match against The Judgement Day duo of Rhea Ripley and Finn Balor.

Wrestling faithful will be very excited about Booker T’s addition to the game. He competed at this year’s Royal Rumble match and decided to call it quits on a legendary career after it.

The recent inclusion of the legendary trio in WWE 2K23 would certainly attract a lot of fans. Apart from the impressive features, they would be hyped up about the exciting match-ups that could ensue. Needless to say, it will definitely add to the star power of the game.
