Butch f.k.a. Pete Dunne is WWE’s latest addition to the SmackDown roster. Moreover, he made a statement in his debut as he went after former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston. WWE seems to have repackaged Pete Dunne into a new persona and is simply calling him Butch.
It seems like Butch has impressed a former WWE consultant and also a big name in the wrestling industry- Gabe Sapolsky.
This respected pro-wrestling personality has worked for many wrestling promotions, including WWE and Paul Heyman’s ECW. Moreover, his crowning achievement was that he was the head booker for Ring of Honor Wrestling.

Butch made a huge impact on the WWE Universe. He was one of the mainstays of NXT for years and has impressed WWE audiences with his unreal power and intense wrestling style. However, Butch, who is now part of the main roster, is looking to widen his horizons.
The perfect way to do that is to align yourself with some veterans of the business and he did exactly that.

WWE booked Kofi Kingston and Big E to face Sheamus and Holland, but Butch came out with the latter duo and proved to be the deciding factor of the match. After a brutal match, Butch interfered and distracted Kofi, which led to Sheamus taking advantage and picking up the victory.
However, it is only at the end where Butch showed his edgy new character as he relentlessly beat up a defenseless Kofi Kingston until he was pulled away.
Who is Butch from NXT?
Formerly known as Pete Dunne, Butch is an incredible athlete. He is a former WWE United Kingdom Champion. Moreover, he is also a former WWE NXT Tag Team Champion. He won that title alongside his partner, ‘The Original Bro’ Matt Riddle. Pete also won the 2020 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament on NXT.
