The $80 million worth Hollywood star who has etched his name in the glory books of cinema, credits wrestling for his successful life.

In one of his latest posts, he confessed his love for wrestling, clarifying how the sport helped him to become a better person, mentally and physically.

Pratt recently logged into his Instagram account and shared a picture of himself when he was young. In the picture, he was donning a wrestling singlet. In the caption, he wrote how wrestling made him tougher than he thought he was. He stated it wrestling helped him to push his mental and physical boundaries.

It instilled inner strength inside him that still guides him to the day. Not only that, the sport gave him the confidence to embrace physically demanding challenges. He capped off the message with a motivational message for the kids. He said that wrestling is hard, but the rewards that come with the sport make all the hard work and pain worth it in the end.

It was his way of saying that no matter how difficult the times are, one should not give up. The Guardians of the Galaxy actor is not a wrestler by profession anymore. But do you know before he turned into a top Hollywood star, he wrestled at high school?

Pratt indulged in wrestling in competitive fashion

Not many people know, but Pratt had a 12-year career in wrestling before he graduated in 1997. He wrestled at Lake Stevens High School in the 1990s. Although his wrestling career concluded after high school, he retained its skills and lessons for a lifetime.

Chris Pratt’s senior year saw him secure a 5th-place finish at the Washington state tournament in the 215 lb weight class. Brent Barnes, the head coach at Lake Stevens for over thirty years, served as his wrestling coach. Apart from wrestling, The Guardians of the Galaxy actor also indulged in football and track in his early school days.

Though he parted his way with wrestling a long time ago, he has not forgotten all the life lessons wrestling taught him. It taught him to be tough and flexible at the same time.
