CM Punk impressively returned to WWE toward the end of Survivor Series 2023. After driving the Chicago crowd insane at the PLE, the wrestler also showed his charisma at Raw last night. During the weekly show, Punk confessed how he is now a changed man. The 45-year-old thanked his fans for supporting him through all these years and said he is “home“.
With AEW’s drama behind him, a former WWE star looked at Punk’s past and gave a statement. According to Bully Ray, we won’t be seeing the backstage history repeat itself in the Stamford-based company.

Even though fans were happy and satisfied with his return, some of them were worried that Punk’s permanent appearance in WWE might ruffle a few feathers. This was because of the issues that plagued Punk’s AEW run. There may even be a chance of some WWE talents leaving due to his arrival. But Bully Ray believes the opposite is true.
During the podcast Busted Open, he co-hosts with other industry veterans, Bully Ray shed light on CM Punk’s arrival in WWE. Thinking about how some fans are concerned that his return may backfire, resulting in walkouts, Ray said something assuring.
The former wrestler started off by saying, “After that reaction the other night, there ain’t one ego in the locker room who’s gonna step up and go, ‘Damn it, if he’s here, I’m leaving.’ Nobody.” He further added, “Who’s going to leave the WWE right now with the business that it’s doing? And the great perception it has all over the world.”
The podcast co-host believes that Punk’s return can’t make anyone else walk away because of the profit WWE is making. Being part of a successful business, no talent would want to leave the promotion because of just one star. CM Punk received a warm welcome on RAW as well further highlighting his star power.
Ray’s thought processes were cross-verified by insider reports that pointed to the fact that CM Punk actually wants to move on from his past and become a hospitable co-worker to his colleagues.
