Dwayne Johnson is not backing off from his feud against Cody Rhodes. Ever since the latter took back his chance to main event against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40, The Rock has not been happy with the decision. The last few weekly shows have shown the back-and-forth between Johnson and Rhodes. While some fans have been loving all the promos, others have some criticism in mind.

While talking on a recent episode of his podcast, Bully Ray mentioned how he couldn’t find a reason to love Cody Rhodes after his last promo on Monday Night Raw.

‘Hollywood Heel Rock’ has been calling himself the “final boss” in Cody Rhodes’ story. Despite his heel persona, the former WWE star can’t find a reason to ‘hate’ him after his concert where he degraded Mama Rhodes. However, Bully Ray is upset with The American Nightmare for the promo he cut on the red brand this week.

On Busted Open, Ray stated his opinion by first saying, “This week, I don’t know why I should love Cody. Why, because he cursed?” The host of the podcast then added, “Where’s the meat of somebody responding — of Cody responding to The Rock talking about his mother.

The only reason that Bully Ray is not satisfied with the babyface’s promo on Raw is because he didn’t come to the main point of the topic. Rhodes didn’t reply to Johnson, degrading his mother. Rather, the only memory that he had about the promo was Cody Rhodes using four curse words.

However, The People’s Champion isn’t safe from criticism either. On the road to WrestleMania, his promos are also called out whenever the viewers don’t understand the logic behind them.

Dwayne Johnson’s ‘Bloodline Rules’ called out

A few SmackDowns ago, The Rock laid down a challenge to Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. He announced that if two stars face DJ and Roman Reigns in a tag team match on night one of WrestleMania and lose, then ‘Bloodline Rules’ will apply. According to these rules, The Bloodline will be allowed to interfere as much as they want during Reigns vs Rhodes.

According to the co-hosts on a live hosted by Wrestling Observer, this rule isn’t logical. The speakers said so because The Bloodline could lay down any rule to make it impossible for the former AEW star to compete against The Tribal Chief.
