WWE is no stranger to having celebrity appearances during its PLEs. Of all the other events, WrestleMania is most likely to hold a Hollywood appearance. A new report shines some light on how WrestleMania 40 could feature a Hollywood icon in some form.

WWE could be planning to feature Sylvester Stallone soon

Sylvester Stallone has appeared in WWE before, inducting the wrestling legend, Hulk Hogan, into the WWE Hall of Fame. A report from WrestleVotes suggests that there are talks in the Stamford-based company to have Rocky show up in one of the promotion’s shows yet again.

Stallone has shown his interest in combat sports several times. His interest, combined with other factors, makes more sense regarding his potential WWE appearance. The Hollywood legend being a Philadelphia resident is one of the factors, while the several iconic scenes for the film Rocky being filmed in the same city is another.

As the reports suggest, there is no confirmation regarding his appearance at WrestleMania 40. However, most of the fans would appreciate it if he showed up in the biggest PLE of the year to make it even more special.

At WrestleMania 39, we saw Snoop Dogg being a part of the wrestling community. As a fan of the sport, he has appeared in the leading wrestling promotion a number of times, including the last Mania. Much like how well-received his appearances are, Stallone’s presence could also fire up the fanbase.

As mentioned before, Stallone openly shows his interest in combat sports. Moreover, his role as Rocky Balboa in the iconic film got him even closer to one of those sports. In the past, WWE hasn’t had trouble including boxers in a promo as Mike Tyson also had a brief appearance in the promotion several years ago.

As far as Sylvester Stallone’s experience goes, he has come face-to-face with Hulk Hogan for a scene in Rocky 3 when the former WWE Champion took on the role of Thunderlips, a fictional pro wrestler.

Considering everything, it would all add up if WWE books Stallone for a combat spot at the Philadelphia event. This time, he could help Cody Rhodes finish his story by offering him protection against The Bloodline and their newest member.

Stay tuned for more future updates on the story and let us know in the comments if you wish to see Sylvester Stallone at Mania this year.
