Reigns chose to face Dwayne Johnson during the ending segment at the WrestleMania main event. However, Cody Rhodes came out and invoked his winning the Royal Rumble clause and picked Reigns. Initially, Rhodes gave up his spot to Johnson, which fans disliked. Winning the men’s Royal Rumble gave Rhodes the right to challenge for the title.

However, after the show ended, Triple H took to social media to announce that Rhodes would face Reigns at WrestleMania. This could be because Johnson attacked Rhodes and also got into a verbal altercation with Hunter backstage. Fans believe it could be due to the heat between Triple H and Johnson.

During Johnson’s final segment on stage, it was clear that he was a changed man. He did not act like the beloved Johnson fans know him for. He was more assertive and like he did not care about authority. This came out even further when he told Triple H to “Fix it” backstage after the segment ended.
Why did Dwayne Johnson change?
Now, the question that is on everyone’s mind is why Johnson turned heel and what is with his new personality. This brash attitude could be the result of the power he was recently given. The Rock is currently a board member of the TKO Holdings Group. This also led to his daughter Ava Raine becoming the youngest General Manager of NXT.

While fans like to believe Johnson would not be corrupted by power, his interaction on stage and with the fans speaks differently. His defiance of authority has made it clear that he feels above it all. The Bloodline and being Head of the Table may have changed his perception from what it used to be.
