One of the top ways to watch events and shows outside the United States is with a subscription to the WWE Network. The fans in Russia are left without any form of access to the content, with the shutdown effective immediately.
It’s unknown if the company will reverse the decision in the future.

WWE launched the Russian Stream in 2017
The company first held its live event in Russia in 2012. Over 6,000 fans had gathered in the arena to watch the Superstars in action. The venue was the Luzhniki Small Sports Arena in Moscow.
The company launched the Russian language website in the same year. Prior to that, the weekly shows were available to the pro-wrestling fans residing in Russia.
The Russian language stream was launched on the WWE Network in 2017. It was on 21st August and the first show was WWE SummerSlam that year, which was on the same date.
Ensuring the Russian language was available on the WWE Network was the company’s way of spreading its product to a wider audience.

Circling back to the company canceling its network in Russia, it could potentially have an impact on the company’s revenue, but that does not seem to be of any concern at the moment.
Additionally, the company has worked extremely hard over the years to sign huge media deals with prominent media-house in the industry. Some of these deals have already started to pay off, and the company reported a huge profit in 2021 itself.
