Karl Anderson, a member of the Bullet Club and NJPW partner of Tama Tonga, recently appeared on the Busted Open Podcast. There he talked about Tama Tonga, his debut, as well as his vast amount of experience. And it was during this conversation that he revealed how Tonga is the perfect fit for the WWE. He said, “I think he’s got the perfect look. I think he’s got exactly what WWE needs, wants and I think it’s great. Like to go back to what we were talking about. With the college kids coming in straight to the WWE and not having any independent experience. I think it’s great that he has had 15 or 16 years all in New Japan Pro Wrestling to come into WWE and show them that experience. And that he is ready for prime time. I think that it’s unlimited right now for what Tama Tonga can pull off in the WWE. And I’m excited to watch man.’
Further talking about Tonga’s SmackDown debut, Anderson added, “I thought he knocked it out of the park. He looked amazing, which he always does, and I think he’s ready and I think the world’s ready for Tama.” Well, Tonga’s debut surely was impactful as he became the buzz of the WWE Universe. But do you know that the debut was as much of a surprise for him as it was for us?

According to Anderson, Tama Tonga was called to travel to the city where SmackDown was held. But he was completely unaware that he was going to debut that same night. He said, “Just knowing that he was coming last Friday, he texted me and told me he was going to show up in the city. He had no clue he was going to debut that night either, which is kind of WWE’s style. They’ll bring you in, and then you got to debut. And they told him he was debuting, and it was pretty fun to see.”
Tama Tonga, along with Solo Sikoa, is expected to be part of a remake of The Bloodline. Which will feature a new Tribal Chief who has yet to be revealed. This will be one of the main stories to be featured on television in the coming weeks. What did you think of Tonga’s debut? What did you make of Karl Anderson’s thoughts on Tonga?
