Dwayne Johnson has the body of the Greek God, Hercules – no pun intended. His insane physique of 6’5 and 250 lb has made him a fan favorite among people. Many people aspire to have the dream physique like him, but Rome was not built in a day. It took him a considerable amount of time and numerous mistakes till he reached the point where he knew what was best for his body in order to have his impressive physique. That being, he once shared some past mistakes that he made fitness-wise that caused him remorse.

“I would just train heavy,” Dwayne Johnson once said

In 2013, 44-year-old Johnson, along with Mark Wahlberg, interviewed for Bodybuilding.com. During the interview, the host asked The Rock about the mistakes he has made inside the gym. He briefly described all the things he had done wrong fitness-wise that even led him to get injured sometimes.

He said, “The not-so-smart, was probably all the times that I would just train heavy. You ego train, you throw on way too much weight and you use poor form and you wind up getting hurt and then you regret it later on.”

With this statement, he subtly called out many other bodybuilders who make the same mistake and pay the price. He also expressed his happiness over his right decision of hiring a diet and conditioning coach and coach for that put his training and workout routines together, depending on his movie roles.

Learning from his own mistakes, Johnson now advocates the notion that an individual doesn’t need to lift heavy to achieve their dream physique.

Johnson gives a great piece of advice to fitness enthusiasts

Johnson has a ginormous fan base and his followers look up to him. Therefore, he always tries to guide them. Taking to his social media handle recently, he shared a very important message to gym enthusiasts like him. He share a video of himself working out and gave details as to how one can build muscle without lifting too heavy.

His video primarily focused on educating his fanbase that one doesn’t need to put their body through hell and lift super heavy weights to see positive results. He taught that engaging the body in the right way and being mindful of the posture can play a huge role in getting tremendous results when it comes to muscle growth.

DJ maintains a disciplined workout and eating routine every day. He works out intensely for six days every week, cardio 2-3 times per week. He eats a diet that’s high in protein and has a cheat day on Sundays.
