WWE has seen many boom periods like The Golden Age of the 1980s and the Attitude Era in the late 90s. Since then WWE’s fortunes have varied but the company seems to have struck gold again as they become more mainstream and continue to rake in even more money. According to WWE’s parent company TKO Group Holdings latest SEC Filings, WWE’s live event segment growth for the first part of 2023 (January-June) has increased vs the same period in 2022. The report reads:

North American ticket sales: 29% increase

International ticket sales: 191% increase

Total live event attendance: 30% increase

Average North American attendance: 41% increase

Average international attendance: 54% increase

This clearly shows the business boom WWE has experienced over the last few months. Earlier in the year, WWE joined hands with Endeavor to form TKO Group. Endeavor is the parent company that also manages UFC. The merger is considered the biggest amalgamation in combat sports history.

For the phase from January to June, in the year 2022, TKO registered revenue of $527.7 million for the same phase. The report also stated that WWE has generated revenue of $51.6 million in the year 2023. It contains $37.3 million from Media Rights and content, $5.4 Million from Live Content, $2.6 million from Sponsorship, and $6.3 million from Consumer Products.
