A never-ending rivalry prevails between two of the top promotions of the wrestling world, WWE and AEW. Tony Khan seems to be always hungry for signing new WWE stars to his company. On the other hand, the people associated with WWE hardly miss any chance to take a dig at AEW’s declining viewership or any particular star’s ability in the ring.

WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray recently followed the norm, making a bold remark about one of the top stars on the AEW roster, Kenny Omega. He drew a comparison between WWE icon Randy Orton and Omega with an interesting insight.

Both Omega and Orton established themselves as two of the top wrestlers of the world through different paths. Appearing in the latest episode of Busted Open, Rey noted, “When I hear the word pro wrestler, I think of Randy Orton, not Kenny Omega. Kenny Omega is definitely the best of something in the world. I just don’t know if the right word is pro wrestler,”

While crediting Omega for being much more than just a wrestler, the 55-year-old former WWE star still seems to believe Orton may be a better pro wrestler. He also expressed his desire to see The Cleaner against the Viper someday. Reflecting on his wish, Rey added, ‘I would love to see Kenny Omega versus a Randy Orton, a Kenny Omega versus a John Cena. Guys that understand real psychology.’

Kenny Omega recently made headlines after his incredible performance on the March 22nd episode of AEW Dynamite against the promising Mexican star EI Hijo del Vikingo.

Sometimes Later, his father, Bob Orton Jr assured fans saying he will be back before anyone knows.

However, as per recent reports, it seems like fans don’t have to wait longer for the Viper’s return, as his grand return would possibly occur in the grandest stage of wrestling next week.

With Triple H taking the charge of the creative, fans highly expect this year’s WrestleMania to be something special, including more surprise and thrill elements. According to wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer, Orton could be one of those surprise entrants of this year’s ‘Mania. He noted, ‘There are a number of wrestlers who have been off television for injury and other reasons who could return for appearances in some form and get easy pops, including Randy Orton, Matt Riddle, A.J. Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Big E. Orton is confirmed as going to be there.”
