With Her Husband in WWE and BFF in Japan, Trinity Fatu Sits on the Fence Without Committing to Wrestling

After the latest update on Trinity Fatu aka Naomi’s status with WWE that she accidentally revealed, fans were low-spirited. The star had pointed out in an Instagram post she isn’t signed with WWE. However, with her appearances on other platforms, it must have been confusing for even fans to speculate about her wrestling career. One of her recent social media posts shows her enjoying a non-wrestling event.

It’s no secret that Naomi’s husband, Jimmy Uso, has been a part of this year’s main event at The Showcase of the Immortals. Even though The Usos lost, they gained much praise from fans. Apart from her spouse, Fatu’s dear friend, with whom she walked out of the Monday Night RAW in May last year, Sasha Banks is also establishing her name as champion in NJPW. It seems that it’s just the 35-year-old who isn’t able to find her way back to wrestling. 

Former SmackDown Champion has seen in WaleMania after her release from WWE

In her Instagram post from a few hours back, one can see the two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion performing at WaleMania VII. She was invited to the event as a “guest of honor” for which she seemed to be grateful. However, she made no mention of her wrestling future during or after the event.

In the caption, she wrote, “I’m still not over #walemania thank you @wale @kazeem for having me as this years guest of honor! I’ll never forget it 🥹”

For the ones who don’t know what WaleMania is, it special WrestleMania weekend event that is hosted by rapper Wale and features several stars from across the professional wrestling world. This year, at the event, Fatu made an independent appearance. This must have given more clarity to fans about her lost association with WWE.

However, apart from being a part of this pre-celebration of WrestleMania, Trinity Fatu was also present at the ROH Supercard of Honor backstage. 

ROH Women’s World Champion’s bond with Trinity Fatu

While speaking to Renee Paquette on The Sessions, the current ROH Women’s World Champion, Athena, mentioned her friend who came to support her at the event. She not only named Fatu as her friend but also talked about their sister-like bond. 

Another important aspect that she mentioned while praising Fatu was the unfavorable treatment that she has always faced. She said, “I genuinely love her and she’s extremely talented. Got the short end of the stick every single time.”

However, she wishes the best for her friend whether she comes to Ring of Honor or goes elsewhere and also expressed a desire to face her in the ring at some point.
