Roman Reigns made his last appearance on the WWE TV network when he appeared on SmackDown on 11th August. In his last segment, he was superkicked by Jimmy Uso before going on a two-month hiatus. But this week, he returned to the show as the new SmackDown season premiered this week on Fox network.

Paul Heyman and The Bloodline were in chaos for the last two months because of Reigns’ absence. But, his return on the SmackDown show held at BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma helped The Bloodline and WWE break records.

The Wise Man of The Bloodline, Paul Heyman, tweeted from his official account on October 13. He posted a picture of himself with a returning Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa. The caption read, “The @WWE #Smackdown @WWEonFOX #SeasonPermiere scored huge, as the Return of @WWERomanReigns delivered (1) the highest grossing TV event in the history of the Tulsa market; (2) highest paid attendance in the history of the #Tulsa market. Thank you for the house, my #TribalChief!

The Wise Man thanked the crowd at Tulsa where SmackDown was held this week. The season premiere created two major records at Tulsa as stated by Heyman. SmackDown recorded the most viewership on TV as a live show from Tulsa and recorded the highest-paid attendance for any show in Tulsa.

The Wise Man believes that Roman Reigns’ return after 2 months helped the season premiere record huge numbers. It was announced last week that Reigns would return to the show after his break considering Crown Jewel and Survivor series are impending.

Roman Reigns deals with multiple issues at SmackDown

SmackDown this week had surprises other than the opening segment. While Kevin Owens was drafted to SmackDown, Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso came to SmackDown to face Austin Theory and Grayson Waller.

Reigns also confronted Jimmy Uso who desires to be accepted to The Bloodline. Given his backstage segment with Uso, he still has strong apprehensions about the twin’s involvement. But as of now, Reigns might have a growing challenge from LA Knight at Crown Jewel.
