The WWE Universe had recently received several shocks with the announcement that Monday Night Raw would soon move to a new network. While everyone was worried about the red brand of WWE, a miracle may not just keep it afloat, but make it soar in the sky, and CM Punk will play a pivotal part in it.

CM Punk heavily bolstered the ratings and viewership of WWE the minute he made a comeback. Simultaneously, he also increased the negotiation power of WWE as it has almost bagged a massive deal with Warner Bros. In fact, if the WWE wins this bid, it can make Tony Khan’s AEW bite the dust once again.

The news was broken by Wrestling News Observer’s Dave Meltzer. According to him, “I don’t think they’re gonna get $400 million but they’re shopping it around and WBD obviously being one of them. WBD seemed to be dead and it’s not dead.” Meltzer further mentioned the role of CM Punk in everything.

He added, “With Punk there and everything like that, it’s not dead. It’s not like people should go oh my God this and that with AEW. There’s no way of knowing anything more other than they did have a meeting and it’s not dead. That’s all.” This brings new hope in the hearts of the fans, as well as the WWE Management.

A report by PW Insider also suggests that things are looking positive between WWE and Warner Bros Discovery. It says, “Discovery headquarters meeting with WBD executive Bruce Campbell about potentially moving RAW to WBDs Mark Shapiro, WWE’s Nick Khan and Triple H met with WBD executive Bruce Campbell for the big deal.

The firing of CM Punk by AEW in August may have seemed like a small event back then. But, it has now snowballed into a potential loss of broadcasting space for the pro wrestling outfit. While Dave Meltzer had positive things to say about WWE on WOR, he wasn’t on the same page while discussing the chances of AEW.

According to him, “It is not promising for AEW to get the deal it looked like they would get a year ago because things have changed. Basically, NASCAR is only getting a small increase and NASCAR is a higher priority than WWE, obviously much higher priority than AEW.” While he downplayed the significance of AEW compared to WWE, his next words chopped down its stature even more.
