Shaun Ricker aka LA Knight has finally converted his success with the crowd into his first big break. The 40-year-old wrestler had spent several weeks as the most loved wrestler by the WWE Universe. Now it seems he is finally getting the push from the management as well. As WWE Fastlane comes closer, Knight may soon be in the run for a championship belt.

This also raises the question of how many championships has LA Knight actually won in WWE. Let’s take a look and find out.

LA Knight hasn’t had much luck when it comes to championships. The 40-year-old was mostly used as a midcarder in NXT. Knight had debuted in WWE as a heel and had briefly partnered with Ted DiBiase in NXT. This brought him close to the Million Dollar Championship belt which was created by DiBiase himself. Knight claimed the reintroduced championship title after winning a Ladder Match against Cameron Grimes in June 2021.

Despite winning the belt with DiBiase in his corner, Knight acted on his heel instincts and turned on DiBiase.

The sudden change of colors led to a team-up between DiBiase and Grimes. While the heel defeated Grimes once again, he eventually lost his title to Grimes after holding it for 70 days. Sadly, this was the only championship belt Knight had ever held. While he did challenge Dolph Ziggler for the NXT Championship, he failed to claim a victory.

LA Knight experienced further difficulties during his main roster run. He was renamed Max Dupri and joined the Maximum Male Models. After failing to get over, WWE made him break away from the faction and restored him as LA Knight on SmackDown.

LA Knight witnessed a ginormous jump in his popularity owing to his verbal prowess and perfect landing of catchphrases. His exponential rise in popularity has now brought him to the doors of Fastlane where he will feature in the main event alongside John Cena.

Triple H and WWE have finally yielded to the undisputed popularity of Knight and it looks likely will now grant him a major push in the coming year. In fact, LA Knight could be a hot early favorite for Royal Rumble 2024 and Elimination Chamber in Australia.

Will Knight rise to the main event status and win a first championship?

Xero News claimed in a report that LA Knight is receiving an internal push by WWE to win the 2024 Royal Rumble. This win will then put the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns directly in the line of sight of Knight. The report also said that Paul Haymen would try to defend Reigns by forcing an inter-division trade to send Knight to RAW and bring Jey Uso back to SmackDown.
