Randy Orton is finally returning to the squared circle. The Viper will make his comeback at Survivor Series over a year after suffering a career-threatening injury. The PLE is scheduled for November 25 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois not too far from Chicago. Orton’s arrival was announced on the recent episode of RAW by none other than former legacy stablemate Cody Rhodes.
The American Nightmare waited till the end of the episode and made the big revelation in the dying seconds of the November 20 program of the flagship brand. While Rhodes made it clear that Orton would join his team and take on The Judgment Day, could the two actually face one another?

With 14 world championships under his belt, The Legend Killer is a bona fide all-time great not only in the WWE but in the pro wrestling industry. While his comeback has to be special, it’s his next rivalry that fans are curious about. And there’s none better than Cody Rhodes to take on that role. Also, Rhodes could further uplift his resume with a feud with Orton.
Currently one of the brightest stars in the WWE, Cody Rhodes is yet to taste significant success in the promotion in terms of a singles title run. Though he had an acclaimed rivalry with Brock Lesnar earlier in the year, culminating in a heartwarming moment at SummerSlam in August, his pushes have somehow fizzled.
There are talks that Rhodes could face current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns for a rematch at WrestleMania 40. The Showcase of the Immortals in 2024 will take place at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on April 6 and 7. Reigns vs Rhodes 2 is rumored to be one of the main events at the marquee event.

With Roman Reigns going undefeated for nearly 1,200 days, his challenger will need to up his game to look like a worthy opponent when they lock horns come April. A feud with Orton and possibly a win could set Rhodes on that path.
But how will the two start a feud?
Deja Vu for Cody Rhodes?
This could be a full-circle moment for The Prince of Pro Wrestling. Remember what happened during RAW after ‘Mania? Well, here’s what transpired: Brock Lesnar snapped, turned heel on Rhodes, and flattened him as thousands inside the arena and millions worldwide looked in shock.
Randy Orton could emulate his Ohio Valley Wrestling batch mate. After all, Orton is known for such sneak attacks. While it won’t be as devastating as a beatdown from Lesnar, an RKO out of nowhere would definitely do the trick.
