Is Roman Reigns' part-time status hurting WWE's main event scene? What do you think?

Roman Reigns has not appeared on a WWE show since his loss to Cody Rhodes on the second day of WrestleMania XL. Since then, The Bloodline has completely changed, and Solo Sikoa is the new leader. Many wonder when the original Tribal Chief will make his return, even more so after Solo Sikoa called himself The Tribal Chief and attacked Paul Heyman.

Sikoa has consolidated a new group, consisting of Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu, and is waiting for his cousin to return to action to recognize him. As reported by PW Insider, Roman Reigns is very close to returning to WWE. They have confirmed that WWE’s plan was for Roman Reigns to return several weeks before SummerSlam. We’re in that time frame, so Reigns should be back in WWE action imminently.

If he does not return sooner, everything indicates that Roman Reigns will make his return at some point in the SummerSlam story arc. But what happens once he is done with the major PPV? Once he is done with the Solo Sikoa and the Bloodline storyline at SummerSlam? Will he continue to be a part of the WWE as a part-timer, or will he leave the promotion? Well, the truth can be harsh at times. The tough pill to swallow at the moment is the fact that it is possible Reigns will not continue as a part-timer in the promotion.

You must be wondering: What could be the reason behind his not being a part-timer? Well, it’s his health. About six years ago, during the October 22, 2018, edition of Monday Night RAW, Roman Reigns announced that he was suffering from leukemia. Because of this, he had to vacate the Universal Championship. Although he has luckily fully recovered he recently revealed that his cancer is still in remission, and he will still have to take care of his health.

During his much-acclaimed 1,316-day title run, Roman Reigns could not take a long break to take care of his health. Now that he is away from the ring, he has the liberty to take a break whenever he wants. Something he could not do as a champion. The Tribal Chief himself brought up the possibility of his retirement in the A&E documentary revolving around him. He said, “You guys better cherish these moments, ’cause once I lose the WWE Undisputed championship, I’m calling it quits.” Nevertheless, the WWE would use him optimally to complete The Bloodline arc since he played a pivotal part in its foundations. However, his long-term future might not have the WWE as its centerpiece. Sadly, WWE fans will have to bite the bullet and accept that Reigns will not continue in the WWE even as a part-timer post-SummerSlam.
