A wave of joy went through the wrestling fans when a 29-year-old wrestling sensation announced that he has been medically cleared to compete inside the ring yesterday. However, this joy didn’t last long as within 24 hours, the star shared heartbreaking news. 

The wrestling sensation Will Ospreay got injured a month back and took a hiatus. Yesterday, he announced that he is ready to compete but recently; he came on the internet and shared a piece of bad news with fans leaving them heartbroken. 

The wrestling star gave a major update about his injury

Just a few hours ago, Will Ospreay posted a video from his official Twitter handle. In the video, Ospreay is giving an update about his injury. The wrestler said that although he attained medical clearance, there is still some weakness in his arm. He even mentioned that because of this weakness, he won’t be able to compete for a while.

Talking to the fans, Will Ospreay said, “I got medically cleared two days ago and it’s a weird one……I have got the range of motion back in my arm. The strength is there somewhat ……..It does feel a lot better but I still feel like there is a lot of weakness in my arm. Obviously the sensible answer is to take a little bit more time off..”

Osprey further said that he has been thinking about his career for a while now. He talked about his famous move ‘shooting star press’ and said that he had to cut that move out since his body couldn’t do that anymore. But then he mentioned that his physical decline made him feel deteriorating in front of everyone.

“I just been reminiscing and thinking about my 11 years of career and it’s been incredible……….the moveset I started with when I was 22 years old has kind of vanished and disappear…since I can’t do it because my body has no choice anymore… I have decided it’s best to cut it out but I am not gonna lie to you guys I feel like my body and me personally, I am deteriorating in front of everyone’s eyes.”

However, in between all this, Will Ospreay didn’t forget to offer a glimmer of hope to his fans.

Later in the video, Will Ospreay cleared that it was he who chose his wrestling style, and he was fully aware of the risks it bears. He mentioned that he is not sure how long will it take him to recover properly.

“I understand the risk that comes with this style but it’s just the one that suits me…..…… I am gonna compete, I am gonna come back. And, I am gonna do best of my abilities to do this as much as I physically can but I don’t know how long this ride is gonna be,” Ospreay said.

Because of the injuries, Ospreay has not been seen inside the ring consistently. And that was the reason fans awaited his return with bated breath.
