Even before The Rock could leave the WWE arena for a temporary break, his post-return plans already started to emerge at a wild rate. While a single bout with the Undisputed Universal Champion Cody Rhodes is almost locked, his subtle digs at John Cena and The Undertaker stirred the idea of grudge matches with each of the legends as well. However, this is not it. It seems the Great One is up for more once he reverts to the roster in some time. The ‘more’ here possibly refers to putting his WWE People’s championship on the line inside a WWE ring.

The Rock living his championship era is a dig-worthy history. But recently he reignited that memory, bringing his iconic People’s Championship on WWE TV to swap it with Cody Rhodes’ Undisputed title for a moment. While this segment was termed an overrated and unnecessary call by some veterans, the Brahma Bull didn’t bring that out for nothing.

Meltzer has suggested in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that The RKO board member has prompted WWE to think about setting up some matches in which he will get to defend his People’s Championship belt.

As per the rumor mills, it can also culminate in a belt vs belt situation against Rhodes. While we are still unsure if any such match will legit take place or not, the plan doesn’t sound unfeasible, especially considering the title-exchanging Raw segment between the former AEW man and the Final Boss.

However, The Rock first reintroduced his People’s Champion title in a jaw-dropping WrestleMania 40 entrance.

The Rock has been on a roll since he returned to the squared circle amidst a Hollywood standstill a few months ago. He donned some gorgeous outfits and took over the world as a generational heel. While his over-the-top promos and antics against The American Nightmare earned some extra eyeballs for the weekly shows, his high-stake WrestleMania performances took fans to a different level of ecstasy altogether. Thanks to his giant Hollywood-themed entrance.

The entire arena was caught off guard when The Rock popped out from behind the flames holding the ‘People’s Championship’ belt that he was gifted at last night’s WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony by the widow of Muhammad Ali, Yolanda “Lonnie” Williams.
