Is Seth Rollins' back injury a sign that his best days in WWE are behind him?

Seth Rollins has had a wonderful 2024 so far despite spending some time out on the sidelines. He began the year as the World Heavyweight Champion and later became the MVP of WrestleMania 40. After that, he took some time off to heal the injuries he suffered earlier this year. Nevertheless, the Visionary surprised everyone by recovering from his wounds in only two months. Since then, he has already staked a claim for the championship he lost, but it didn’t go to plan as he envisioned.

Despite being one of the biggest stars in the promotion and having just competed in a title match, it looks like the Raw star may sit out SummerSlam. As seen in recent weeks, Rollins does not have a worthy adversary with whom he is competing after MITB. This has alarmed his supporters as they might miss out on the chance to see their favorite star competing at one of the biggest events of the year.

Unfortunately, going by the SummerSlam card, Seth Rollins will not be competing in any form of the match at the event. Although Rollins has the potential to engage in a feud with Damian Priest and CM Punk, both superstars have other noteworthy contenders to take down at The Biggest Party of the Summer.

Priest will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Gunther, the winner of the King of the Ring tournament, while CM Punk will wrap up his intense feud with Drew McIntyre. Seth Rollins is not engaged in any of these two feuds, so the Visionary may have to sit back and relax at home with his wife to watch the entire event. It doesn’t sound that bad of a deal, right? Especially when your wife is Becky Lynch? Nevertheless, the WWE could choose to feature the former WWE World Heavyweight champion if they choose to travel down an unorthodox path.

Will the WWE insert Rollins into The Bloodline arc?

A recent rumor has recently surfaced in the wrestling world with suggests that Rollins may attend SummerSlam without a match. But the true issue on the minds of the WWE Universe is: how would this happen? And which storyline could the Visionary fit into?

Roman Reigns is supposed to return to the company at SummerSlam, where he will be standing against four formidable foes of the current Bloodline. The true Tribal Chief would require some sort of support, for which he may contact his old Shield brother Seth Rollins, who currently does not have a storyline. This would be amazing to watch as a fan, and it would generate a lot of talk. It would also bring their dynamic full circle considering their storied history.
