Elimination Chamber 2024 is drawing closer with each passing day and fans haven’t stopped wondering about who the winner will be. While WWE has not given any clear indications as to who it might be, Randy Orton securing a spot inside the chamber is a hint that WWE may push him to become the next WWE Heavyweight Champion.
Two major reasons point toward the possibility that Randy Orton could win the men’s Elimination Chamber event this year. Both of these reasons make sense when we think of them combined.

For a while, the leading wrestling promotion showed fans that they wished to go further with the feud between CM Punk and Seth Rollins. However, after Punk was eliminated as the last person at Royal Rumble this year, things started taking a new turn. For now, “The Best in the World” is not confirmed to appear at WrestleMania 40, so, WWE may wish to push Randy Orton into the feud.
First and foremost, Randy Orton has had a history with Seth Rollins. The two stars have faced each other in a number of matches. One of the well-remembered matches was the one that they had at WrestleMania 31. During the PLE, The Viper ‘wiped’ Rollins at the end of the match as he came out victorious. So, we can expect the feud to be revived again 9 years later.
Lastly, WWE could be trying to push Orton to help him reach the same level as John Cena and Ric Flair when it comes to the WWE World Championships. Both Cena and Flair are 16-time world champions. Orton has a record of being a 14-time world champion. So, WWE may be looking forward to equaling his record to that of John Cena and Ric Flair.
WWE has already started pushing Randy Orton to the victory.

During the last SmackDown episode, Randy Orton and Sami Zayn went up against each other with the former coming out on top.

On the other hand, Drew McIntyre also came out victorious after defeating AJ Styles during their qualification match. In the end, we saw a tease for EC as both Orton and McIntyre faced each other inside the squared circle. If Seth Rollins receives another opponent for his WHC, WWE could also go ahead with the feud that they just teased.
