Will Jimmy Uso's return to SmackDown shake things up before SummerSlam? What are your predictions?

WWE Superstar Jimmy Uso has not appeared on WWE programming again after taking a beating from Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga on the post-WrestleMania XL episode of SmackDown. The reason? Well, he was absent from WWE programming because of an actual injury. The Bloodline has changed quite a bit since then, with the additions of Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu. But the most important change of all is that Solo Sikoa calls himself the new ‘Tribal Chief’, and that Paul Heyman was attacked by the members of the lineage themselves.

As reported by Pro Wrestling Nexus, Jimmy Uso has been medically cleared, and from now on he can return to action at any time. So far, there are no details of when and how he will return, but what is clear is that the day of his return is approaching. Here are the reasons why we believe that his much-awaited return will be at the upcoming edition of SmackDown, the one right before the grand spectacle that is SummerSlam 2024.

The tag titles are on the line

The members of the Bloodline earned the title chance in the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown, thanks to the victory obtained in the Gauntlet Tag Team Match in which the Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford), Apollo Crews and Baron Corbin, the Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince and Kit Wilson), the Latino World Order (Humberto Carrillo and Angel Garza), and the Good Brothers (Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows) took part.

This is an enormous opportunity for the faction to bring back the gold that they once had within their group as former tag duo Jimmy and Jey Uso held the titles. However, it won’t be so easy. The match will be held at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, “at the home” of Johnny Gargano, who will undoubtedly want to give his best in front of his audience. But what makes it even tougher is the fact that Jimmy Uso might return to stop them from winning the titles.

Have an interesting take?

Jimmy Uso, like his brother Jey, debuted in WWE in 2010, and since then they have managed to win the RAW Tag Team Championships three times and the SmackDown Tag Team Championships five times. Their final reign as tag team champions made them the longest-reigning team in championship history. Now that even he has quit the Bloodline and might reunite with his brother, it seems less likely that he would want the titles to be with a faction that he hates so much. In addition to this, the other reason why he would want to stop the Bloodline’s momentum is because the original Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns would want him to interfere before he makes his much-awaited return.

Roman Reigns will recognize him. It is precisely this phrase said by Solo Sikoa in the latest SmackDown that aroused suspicion and fueled rumors that the Tribal Chief could return at SummerSlam. The Bloodline is more dangerous than ever and has recently sent a sound message by knocking out Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton. Now that Rhodes has a match set up between him and Solo Sikoa for the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam and Orton and Owens out of the picture, the American Nightmare surely would need some backup. Since Sikoa’s henchmen could intervene during the SummerSlam match, it is possible that Roman Reigns would be the one to save Cody Rhodes and WWE from a completely out-of-control Bloodline.

In the process, he would stop Sikoa from winning the title, something he asked Jimmy Uso to do as well by not letting Sikoa’s henchmen win the titles. However, it would be interesting to see how Jimmy and Jey Uso reunite. Before taking a break because of his injury, Jimmy Uso had been defeated by his brother Jey Uso on night 1 of Wrestlemania XL. In addition, both brothers were involved in the match between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes on night 2 of the Show of Shows in the final moments, where Jey Uso applied a spear against a table from above the entrance area. So a reunion would be an interesting sight. What do you think? Will Jimmy Uso return at SmackDown? Let us know in the comments.
