Will WWE Raw's shift to Syfy hurt its ratings, or will loyal fans follow it anywhere?

The last time WWE Raw is being televised on USA Network in the month is tonight. As we rapidly advance toward the second largest PLE of the year, WWE SummerSlam 2024, a jam-packed episode of the red brand has descended upon the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The night featured a series of stellar matches and performers, including a returning CM Punk. The next two weeks of Raw will be specifically decisive as it will respectively bring up the Go-Home SummerSlam episode and the Raw after the PLE, injecting severe momentum for key WWE storylines.

It seems that the WWE wants to air the scheduled shows seamlessly; hence, a temporary switch of the broadcasting partner is deemed necessary.

In between the crucial segments, WWE commentator Michael Cole reminded fans to buckle up and experience the next two live tapings of Raw (July 29 and August 5) on the SyFy channel instead of the USA Network. Additionally, NXT episodes on Tuesday nights could also find itself bumped up into the SyFy channel for July 30 and August 6. The changes will occur because the Paris Olympics 2024 is scheduled to kick off next week with NBC (parent channel of US Network) as its official US broadcast partner.

The switch comes at a pivotal time for the leading wrestling promotion in the world as the build for SummerSlam intensifies. Nevertheless, the change becomes understandable once we realize the entire world will be watching the Olympics as countries vie for glory. Raw returns to take its place on the USA network starting from the August 12th edition of the red brand show.

On the July 22nd episode of WWE Monday Night RAW, Sami Zayn’s challenger for the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam has been unveiled with Bron Breakker standing at the opposite end.

The former WWE NXT Tag Team continued to aspire for another title opportunity after losing his shot at Money in the Bank 2024 against Sami Zayn. On last week’s Raw, he unleashed a vicious wave of violence on both Dragunov and Zayn during their title match, but it didn’t come to a decisive end. Capitalizing on that unfinished business, Bron Breakker and Ilja Dragunov butted heads in another match tonight on Monday Night Raw. After going back and forth for a while, Breakker toppled his opponent with a spear at ringside.
