Uncle Howdy and his troop are coming to eat the WWE World possibly on the June 17 episode of Raw. After months of playing with it around, almost every single hint on a variety of platforms conveyed that the time has arrived to let the cat out of the bag. But the question that comes with it is; will it even be worth the hype?

The man with the long coat and a trench hat will no longer roam around the city. He will revert to where he belongs, but this time, without his brother, Bray Wyatt by his side. In fact, to let Wyatt live within us, WWE initiated the saga that has eventually taken over our lives. But the hunches say we better keep our expectations low and here’s the dialectics.

As soon as the concluding part of the Bray Wyatt documentary came to the play, Bo Dallas’ return campaign was slightly teased. Shortly after, WWE baffled the fanfare with the regular QR code glitches, each carrying a definite Uncle Howdy flavor. Gradually, it transcended the giant screens of the weekly shows. Social sites like Twitter, Twitch, Webpage, and even the official WWE WhatsApp channel started to feel the enigmatic foot tall of Uncle Howdy to the point of no more denial. As the timeline has already moved through the deceptive course of Backlash 2024 and KOTR 2024 with no Howdy factor, fans set some lofty hopes for June 17.

But they should be aware of getting disappointed again, as several issues can hinder the successful outcome of a months-long crusade.

Will fans’ patience lead to a reward or an ultimate disappointment?

Firstly, it’s been a very long for this storyline, and there’s a high chance that fans have almost run out of patience. So, it can lead to an underwhelming response to the same event fans had to hold their horses for, as highlighted by some enthusiasts.

Secondly, if the creative decided to push Howdy through a non-PLE, which is so far speculated, it might not turn out great in respect of limited exposure and grandeur. And last but not least, history can repeat itself. To elaborate, Bray Wyatt’s return storyline back in 2022 saw a similar fun build-up with the same QR code drama, captivating narrative, and long-term vision, but everything went in vain. Fans’ interest fizzled out pretty quickly, and they didn’t buy the eerie ‘Pitch Black’ match between LA Knight and Bray Wyatt at all. Hence, the lack of clarity and messy execution process was to blame.

With that noted, do you think WWE might screw things up, once again, with Uncle Howdy’s original debut day? Let us know in the comments.
