Is WWE holding Jimmy Uso back for a bigger storyline, or is there more to the story?

Jimmy Uso has been absent from the squared circle since Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga threw him out of the Bloodline during the SmackDown after WrestleMania. Although speculations are rife that the younger Usos will come and stand by his tribal chief to ward off Solo Sikoa and his team, his injury wasn’t allowing fans to be sure of his immediate involvement in the storyline. But as the latest report suggested that the 38-year-old has now cleared to lace up his boots, a return on 7/19 WWE SmackDown was largely on the cards. But it seems WWE has again ditched the fans, not bringing him on TV for another week.

Why did Jey Uso not crop up on the blue brand tonight? Exploring the reasons

The Bloodline deprived Uso of his WWE run for a long time, sending him on a never-ending hiatus. After a prolonged wait, some hopes started to brew up to see him in action in Toronto in the Money in the Bank 2024 PLE. But unfortunately, fans spotted him nowhere. Again tonight on the blue brand, fans were left dejected by not getting a piece of Uso despite the recent teases.

But WWE might do it purposefully for a reason. Reserving the potential baby face Bloodline member for the SmackDown before SummerSlam sounds logical. Also, the company might withhold it until the Tribal Chief returns for a seamless, more dramatic flow of the storyline. So, SummerSlam 2024 currently stands as the most feasible platform for a double return.

It will be fascinating to see how and when WWE makes him refit the Bloodline storyline.

However, since the return of the former Bloodline member is imminent, WWE might do some experiments with his run going forward.

Will Jimmy Uso go solo after the much-awaited WWE return?

What’s your perspective on:

Is WWE holding Jimmy Uso back for a bigger storyline, or is there more to the story?

Have an interesting take?

Jey Uso was the one to get all the spotlight following his Bloodline breakup and his momentum has significantly escalated with a solo run. Despite him not holding a gold so far, the incredible Jey Uso era has taken over. The unbridled YEET chants, whenever he steps out, carry the strongest testament of his profound impact on the fanfare. WWE might consider doing the same for the younger twin. He was sidelined for a while and it’s a good time to give him a push to bring him back to the flow of the business. A solo run is the only way out of this.

Also, he will return powerless on TV. So, aligning him with the group setting immediately might hinder collective growth. So, placing him alone in the ring and allowing Reigns to return and eventually persuade his cousins individually to recruit for his team again makes the most sense right now. It will be interesting to see how WWE chooses to pan it out.
