Dave Bautista left behind WWE a long time ago and it seems that his ‘tough’ persona also ended with that wrestling run. Despite appearing intimidating, the WWE legend seems to be a lovable and emotional person at heart. In a recent interview with Jimmy Fallon, Bautista showed up to talk about one of his recent films released on 18th July 2024, ‘My Spy: The Eternal City’. During the discussion, he revealed how he got a Winnie The Pooh tattoo and the role that his little co-star from the ‘My Spy’ movies had to play.
When talking about his newly released film on his show, Jimmy Fallon also decided to ask Bautista about his viral ‘Winnie The Pooh tattoo’. This is when the former wrestler revealed that he indeed has one, while also explaining how he got it. The story starts with the press tour for the first ‘My Spy’ movie released in 2020.
During one of the promotional shows, Bautista was playing ‘True or False’ with Chloe Coleman, the little girl who is the former WWE fighter’s co-star in the film. She was asked whether the big guy had a Winnie The Pooh tattoo on him and Bautista recalled her words as he told on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’, “Well most people would think Dave wouldn’t have a Winnie-the-Pooh because he comes across as intimidating and people would be scared of him but I know Dave, he’s such a sweetheart and such a loving caring person. I think true, he would have a Winnie-the-Pooh tattoo.”

Although the answer was wrong, this compelled Bautista to get the tattoo eventually on the back of his leg, right above his heel. So, Chloe Coleman coincidentally predicted the future as Bautista is exactly the kind of gentleman who would walk such a distance for a loved one. But he is not alone in this category of people.

Before Dave Bautista, another WWE star also got a tattoo to appreciate a loved one
While he did not have a cute short story to tell about the meaning behind his tattoo, one of Cody Rhodes‘ tattoos also originated after an emotional incident in his life. Despite having several tattoos on his body, there is one that stands out on him in terms of being meaningful. On his right pec, we can see the word “Dream” written in a beautiful font. This is an homage to his father Dusty Rhodes, who was popularized by his moniker “The American Dream”.

The timeline, however, of when he got this tattoo done on himself makes all the difference in terms of it being emotionally appealing to the world of pro wrestling. Dusty passed away in 2015, leaving behind some big shoes to fill. However, his son took on the responsibility to try and justify the legendary legacy of his father in the best way he could.

So, in 2016, he got the “Dream” tattoo on his chest as a way to start strong. He has come a long way since then, winning a WWE Championship that his father couldn’t do during his run in the Stamford-based company. In a way, the tattoo that he got on his chest as a tribute to his father is what gave him the strength to do all that he is doing now.
