Did Carlito and JD McDonagh make the right call siding with Finn Balor over Damian Priest?

The Judgment Day is exploding. After Damian Priest’s unfortunate loss to the Ring General, the group could finally etch its end. Finn Balor’s brutal betrayal of his two-year-old ally has emerged as the catalyst. On the other hand, DomDom turning his back on his Mami and siding with Liv Morgan, sealed the fate of the infamous stable. This week Raw started from where we left off.

Damian Priest came out for some reprisal. And it seemed he got almost the entire new Judgment Day plotting against him, and here’s why.

Cartilo started to stick to the faction for a couple of weeks to avoid Rey Mysterio. JD McDonagh has also been on the same path to be the new history maker of the faction. Although the newbies didn’t get much to do in the shenanigans so far, after the faction’s breakup, the eyes were on their roles. Tonight, both of them put the question to rest siding with Balor when Priest called him up for a confrontation. But why so? Well, McDonagh could never rise to the good grace of Priest since his inception. Also, he was recruited by Balor, so he chose his allies accordingly. On the other hand, Cartilo was Dominik Mysterio’s addition. So he as well, chose to join forces with the majority.

It will be interesting to see where the saga goes further. However, it turned out that a popular WWE star was not happy with the Judgment Day mess-up last weekend.

The cracks in the faction started to show up on the surface since the Money in the Bank 2023, where the Archer of the Infamy and Finn Balor came into a loggerhead. Despite the issue not being stretched further later, it didn’t resolve either. The other dynamics in the faction started to change with Rhea Ripley’s injury. At SummerSlam, the chaos reached a culmination point with Balor turning on Priest.

With the biggest breach of trust, the match ended and Michael Cole announced this will be remembered as the implosion of the Judgment Day. Tonight, the scattered faction members again had a stare-down with each other, only to pinpoint the differences even more. The New Day’s Xavier Woods has seen it all and ain’t feeling good about it.

The 37-year-old wrote on X, ‘‘Let’s see if The Judgement Day learned anything from @RonKillings – Can they talk about it? Can they reconcile? Who gets to keep the purple? Is anyone taking the purple?”
