Nowadays, it’s common to hear romance springing up in the workplace in the WWE. Several wrestlers who work and travel frequently with one another throughout the week develop romantic feelings for one another. Thus leading to some of the most exquisite stories that start in the Stamford-based federation’s locker room. With families that are created because of the amazing pro-wrestling industry. A few of the most notable couples to emerge from WWE’s locker room are The Undertaker and Michelle McCool, Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella, and the iconic duo of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Another such couple is Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch as they had been together since August 2019.

The couple planned to have their wedding in the course of 2020, but the pandemic altered the plans. What they could celebrate was the birth of Roux. Although finally, they tied the knot in 2021 in a private ceremony. But the two had also their fair share of breakups before they finally got together. One such breakup was between Becky Lynch and Finn Balor.

When Lynch’s book went on sale to the public, it led to the revelation of several details about her personal life. Such as Vince McMahon’s reaction to learning of Lynch’s pregnancy with Rollins, as well as details about her relationship with The Judgment Day star. In one chapter of his book, Lynch reflected on her relationship with Balor, a close figure with whom she spent much of her life in the United Kingdom.

Becky revealed that the relationship ended when Finn moved to work in the United States, as the distance between them became an obstacle. She also shared that she was experiencing some insecurities that affected the relationship. She wrote, “When he left, I knew it was over between us. The distance was too great and over the last few months I had simultaneously become demanding, clingy, and scared of losing him… He was about to live out his dream, and I wasn’t part of it.”

She further added, “This was my first real love and I messed it up. Now he was going away forever, leaving me behind. When he made it to Japan and called me a few days later, we agreed the relationship was over but that we would always remain friends. But to quote the famous song by the band The Script, “When a heart breaks, no, it don’t break even” – and I was absolutely the more devastated one.” This fragment of the book surely confirms that there was indeed a love relationship between the two. Becky Lynch surely has a great husband in Seth Rollins now, who is a loving husband, a devoted father, and a man who believes his wife is the best wrestler in the world. In 2019, after Seth Rollins won the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35 and Becky Lynch won the RAW and SmackDown Women’s Championship. WWE decided to have the couple working together. Their logic was sound as the world had come to know that they were dating. The story between them focused mainly on that aspect, something that was not to the female star’s liking. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Becky Lynch was asked about her time working with Rollins.

Lynch admitted that she was initially excited by the idea, but eventually, came to regret it. She considers it to be one of the worst stories she has ever worked on. The premise of their programme revolved around their dynamic as a couple in real life. She said, “That storyline was awful, terrible, one of the worst in history. Why, I’ll tell you why. Because when I came into it, I thought this will be cool. Two bada** champions fighting side by side. As a fan I want to see that. But as storylines went, they were like, ‘Becky and Seth are in a real-life relationship. Everybody, in case you didn’t know, Becky and Seth are in a relationship. And so, with the storyline, that Becky and Seth are in, which is, they are in a real-life relationship…’ It was just ad nauseam. They beat it into people’s throats that we were in a relationship (makes vomiting noises).”

Since then, Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins have not worked together on television. It doesn’t seem like either wrestler are interested in doing it either. However, it cannot be ruled out for the future. They might decide to work together if the story is convincing enough.
