‘Why Are You Bringing Back Losers?’: Vince McMahon’s First Signing Since Coming Out of Retirement Returns & Lays Waste to Rhea Ripley in Brutal Fashion, Fans Left Divided

The WWE Universe was privy to a shocker of a return on the last episode of Monday Night RAW. Vince McMahon’s returned to power to facilitate a lucrative sale. Additionally, he also brought back a former Women’s champion as she made her impact known in the main event of RAW. 

What do most WWE wrestlers do when returning to the squared circle? Pick a fight with the hottest star around, and that currently is Rhea Ripley. It was a brutal attack, and now this returning former champion proved that she isn’t like most girls despite fans being divided on her return.

Nia Jax returns to RAW and attacks Rhea Ripley

The most recent episode of Monday Night RAW saw Raquel Rodriguez and Ripley competing in the main event for the Women’s World Championship. What seemed like a rehash of the match the two had at Payback saw a surprise ending. Nia Jax returned to RAW and attacked Rodriguez, allowing Ripley to get the pinfall. However, this was not the end, as Jax attacked Ripley and ended the night with a banzai drop on her.

Jax hasn’t made her presence known since her release from the company in 2021. Since her release, she’s been away from any form of pro wrestling. Although, fans were treated to a glimmer of hope at a return by showing up at the #30 spot at the Women’s Royal Rumble this year. Unfortunately, she was eliminated by a group of participants, much to the fans’ loud response.

Jax’s attack on Rodriguez and Ripley establishes that she isn’t taking any sides. She was the most dominant female in the division during her initial run in the company since she joined in 2014. Since her absence, Ripley took that spot. With Ripley holding the title of the most dominant female wrestler and the World Women’s Championship, we can guess Jax’s agenda.

Even though her return was surprising, the WWE Universe was not entirely on board with the idea. Jax has not had the best reputation in the division. She has been responsible for multiple female stars getting injured and shelved during matches. Her last match saw the split of her tag team with Shayna Baszler. During a November 2021 episode of RAW, Baszler injured Jax’s hand by wedging it between steel steps. While fans were surprised, they were all not happy about her return.

While Jax comes from the Anoa’i family of legendary Samoan wrestlers, her reputation in the WWE is not as clean as her male counterparts. The self-proclaimed ‘Irresistible Force’ has seen backlash due to her reputation of hurting or injuring other female stars in the company. Names such as Bayley, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and others. This resulted in the current WWE universe announcing a mixed verdict to her return to WWE programming.

While her return is surprising, seeing if she has improved her in-ring ability during her time away will be interesting. Another shocking aspect about her return is that she is also the first WWE return after Vince McMahon returned to power at the WWE. Could this mean something?
