There’s no argument that if Dwayne Johnson comes back to WWE and wrestles again, it will be a stunning moment. But the question is, who will he face? While the answer is pretty simple, everything is restricting Johnson from making that jump. But regardless of that, The Rock is still teasing a potential match between him and his cousin, who is also the current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns.

Seeing these two cousins face off at WrestleMania 39 will be one for the ages. Just like Hollywood Hogan vs The Rock or John Cena vs The Rock, this would be a once-in-a-lifetime event that would take over the world. Not only would The Rock be back after so long to WWE, but him facing one of the most hated wrestling characters of the 2020s would be huge.
Reigns has been working in the WWE as a heel for over 2 years now is the biggest thing to come out of the pandemic era. His storyline with The Bloodline is being paraded as the only thing worth watching in wrestling right now.

And on top of that, Reigns has not been pinned or defeated ever since his return in 2020. Not only did he conquer The Beast multiple times, but put down everyone coming his way. So, Johnson would act as a genuine threat on the biggest stage of the year. But even Johnson’s confirmation of returning to a wrestling ring would be a monumental moment in WWE.
Dwayne Johnson calls out and teases a potential rivalry with his cousin
When an energy drink company gave a nod to Roman Reigns, Johnson couldn’t take it for a moment. He tweeted about it and said that while he was talking about walking, The Rock was actually on a treadmill that was on a boat dock. He mocked Reigns and called him out for not working under extreme conditions. Then he ended his tweet by saying that he would call him.
