The American Nightmare has had enough of pitfalls in the ring for the last few weeks. We only saw him taking verbal jibes on his mother and sister and cluelessly bleeding near the ringside after The Rock’s brutal attack on recent weekly shows. But what we couldn’t see was the real headliner. The American Nightmare closely escaped a potentially life-threatening accident when his tour bus caught fire ahead of the Mania weekend.

Cody Rhodes has been one of the biggest talking points in the WWE Universe right now as he’s almost there at war to clinch his dream accolade from the Tribal Chief after months of grinding season. He is slated to headline both the Mania nights at the Home of the Philadelphia Eagles and hence appeared in the city for the pre-show build-up. But seemingly, not only are Reigns and The Rock plotting against him but also the entire Universe wants to put the former Stardust to the hardest test before he arrives at his destination.

To everyone’s concern, the 38-year-old divulged the fire mishap on Twitter and thanked the fire department for quick, efficient assistance. He wrote: ”Before you hear it elsewhere – my tour bus caught fire last night. Everybody is safe and okay The 2 items I grabbed before I got off will probably pop wrestling fans Again, thank you @PhillyFireDept.”

The two items that he referred to in the tweets are nothing but a photo of his wife and daughter and a pair of his wrestling boots, which are of priceless value to him.

Cody Rhodes has been an old hat in bearing with difficulties in his path. He has been shattered to pieces after coming up short in WrestleMania 39 but eventually bounced back stronger. Letting his spirit down is not even an option for the resilient superstar despite meeting with repeated odds.

We are just hours away from witnessing Cody Rhodes’ final attempt to finish his story at the Lincoln Financial Field. To head to the main event as the favorite, Rhodes needs to surpass The Rock in an epic tag team match billed as the biggest in WrestleMania history. At this point in time, suffering a scare even doubled his drive to outstrip all the hardships to reach the top.

On an extremely optimistic note, The American Nightmare said during his appearance in the Pat McAfee show, ”I think the universe was saying, ‘Hey, we’re going to set your bus on fire and you’re still going to go in and wipe the floor with The Bloodline on Saturday. You’re still going to do it.”
