“Who Is This Guy?”, “Never Heard of Him”: Cody Rhodes’ Next Challenger Leaves WWE Universe Startled

Cody Rhodes is all set to take on The Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania Goes Hollywood. But we are still more than 10 days away from the big premium live event of this year.

The 2023 Royal Rumble winner has proven himself to be a worthy fighting challenger for the gold as he proves his mettle inside the squared circle by engaging with different opponents every week. That being said, for next week’s SmackDown he has chosen an opponent for himself and no, it is not anyone from the Bloodline.

Rhodes, facing new opponents every week, is leaving the fans confused as to where his storyline is heading.

Cody Rhodes vs Ludwig Kaiser on 3/24 WWE SmackDown 

The American Nightmare has challenged The Imperium’s Ludwig Kaiser for a match on next week’s edition of the blue brand. It happened after the latter interrupted the former’s interview that was held after this week’s WWE SmackDown show.

Rhodes, after 3/17 WWE SmackDown, sat down for an interview on SmackDown LowDown. After a while, Kaiser, along with Giovanni Vinci, crashed his interview. He said some of the meanest things to The American Nightmare.

The Imperium member sarcastically called Rhodes a “hero” for entering as the last entrant and then eliminating the first entrant of the match. He then used the word “pathetic” to call The American Nightmare. After the insult, the latter challenged the former for a match at next week’s SmackDown, which he accepted.

Rhodes and Kaiser share no history in this brand-new rivalry. Also, they have not even come face to face once before in the past. Fans are confused about what WWE is trying to build by booking the two superstars as each other’s opponents for next week.

The WWE Universe questioned this abrupt booking of the match between Cody Rhodes and Ludwig Kaiser. Fans are scratching their heads as they can’t understand why WWE is booking Rhodes to fight different opponents every week.
