“Who Cares”, “Honestly No Loss”: Fans Turn Their Back on Bray Wyatt After Disappointing Update on His WrestleMania 39 Status

Bray Wyatt vs Bobby Lashley was almost a confirmed match on the card of WrestleMania 39. But it doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. While Wyatt’s absence from WWE TV for having some ‘physical issues’ for the last couple of weeks stirred enough doubt among fans regarding his WrestleMania status, the latest report by Dave Meltzer seemingly gave those doubts a more firm ground.

Ever since Wyatt came back to the business during last year’s Extreme Rules, his run gradually slowed down. The Eater of the Worlds wrestled his first match at the 2023 Royal Rumble after his emphatic return. Then he turned his attention toward the Al Mighty after the latter’s win at Elimination Chamber 2023.

It created much hype for the Lashley vs Wyatt feud but didn’t materialize. On top of this, the former Universal Champion also missed March 12’s live event at Madison Square Garden.

Bray Wyatt’s WrestleMania 39 status looks more uncertain

Though we still don’t know if the reason behind his absence was creative differences or some legit physical issues, Dave Meltzer came up with his own analysis of both Lashley and Wyatt’s absence during SmackDown and it was not something positive regarding their WrestleMania fate.

Meltzer says, “I mean, it looks to me like he’s off the show. They did a little flash with that Bray Wyatt stuff on Friday’s show, so he’s with the company, but he was supposed to be at the show Friday night. So, whatever it is, it’s a health issue, and the health issue hasn’t cleared up yet, and you know if they were confident that it was, they would at least have Bobby Lashley out there doing promos and stuff.”

While this report surely stirred further discussion, how much WWE Universe pays heed to this report is something to be seen.

Dave Meltzer’s recent report didn’t bother fans much

Fans didn’t seem to take Meltzer’s report seriously, as it didn’t add anything new to the already existing information except his own assumptions and analysis. Some fans still find some hope for Wyatt vs Lashley feud at the Show of the Shows.

Some of them believe that WWE does it purposely for bringing a surprise to the table. Maybe the surprise might be the revival of iconic the Fiend. Who knows?

Considering Wyatt’s terrible form during the recent time, the majority of the fans think it’s better for him not to appear in Mania.

Following the uncertainty of Wyatt’s status, some of them even seemed concerned about Lashley’s appearance at WrestleMania 39.

Bray Wyatt hasn’t come out very lucky regarding his WrestleMania performances so far. He might change this dynamic if he appears in the biggest stage of wrestling this year. We will, however, have to wait a bit to know the final outcome.
