A few days ago, social media went abuzz as Lesnar made the headlines while displaying enormous feats of strength. No, not Brock Lesnar, it was Mya Lynn Lesnar who became the cynosure of all eyes. The 21-year-old is “The Beast Incarnate’s” daughter and turned heads with a shotput throw that landed her into the record books.
Shortly after the record-setting throw, there were speculations about Mya Lynn Lesnar walking in the footsteps of her legendary father. However, an industry insider has stated otherwise. If the person is to be believed, young Lesnar could represent her country on a global stage.
Is Paris calling for Mya Lynn Lesnar?

It’s an enticing prospect for a fan at the moment. With the Paris Olympics just around the corner, fans would want the in-form athlete to make the team. However, there has been no such confirmation so far. Former WWE color commentator and popular podcast host, Pat McAfee, however, may have stoked that fire a bit.
“Sources have told me that Mya Lesnar is now 224 lbs of all muscle, ready to throw a rock for the United States of America when her time comes, and beat the hell out of everybody else,” he said on The Pat McAfee Show recently. Just days ago, Mya Lynn Lesnar broke the record for Colorado State with a throw of 18.50 meters. While that deserves the praise, where does this throw stand in comparison to global records?
As per worldathletics.org, the Shot-Put record for senior women is 22.63 meters, which was thrown by Russian athlete Natalya Lisovskaya. The Olympic record is 22.41 meters by Germany’s Ilona Slupianek. Interestingly, both these records were set in 1987 and 1980, respectively.
So, Lesnar has the work cut out for her and if she has to bring gold and cement her legacy, she needs to improve her throw significantly. Realistically, while Paris 2024 looks unlikely, if she continues to be a track and field athlete, unlike her father, she could represent the USA in future Olympics.
Or will Mya Lynn Lesnar emulate her dad? Which brings us to the next question.
Why didn’t Brock Lesnar become an Olympian?
Brock Lesnar is arguably one of the most gifted athletes in the world. From winning NCAA championships to dominating the WWE, and NJPW and later becoming a UFC heavyweight champion, Lesnar has done it all. Add his freakish NFL combine numbers and his resume looks even more formidable.

There’s no doubt that Lesnar is a bonafide athlete with an amateur wrestling background. This would make many wonder why, despite possessing such caliber, did he not aim for the Olympics, especially when one of his heroes, Kurt Angle, had major success in the global event.

Years ago, Lesnar did provide an answer to the question. “I think once I achieved my ultimate goal in my life, which was being a national champion, I think that decided it for me,” he said. The Beast was happy with his numero uno finish and decided to hang his amateur wrestling boots.
