Fans were worried about how the merger would affect the workings of the Stamford-based promotion. But after the return of John Cena, The Rock, and Nia Jax, their faith was restored.

But this week proved to be particularly terrible for WWE stars as the promotion started releasing talents from its roster. This included former WWE United States Champion Matt Riddle. While this news might be devastating, his girlfriend penned a message for him on social media.

When one chapter closes another begins”, she said adding that she had high hopes for the future. She further added, “I’m so proud of the man that Matt is. The real person and not the character or headlines” implying how important Riddle’s accomplishments were for her. Since his release, friends, families, and fans have been pouring in with their love and support for the 37-year-old star. But an old friend of his wants to team up with him. Stallion Rogers, also known by his ring name Curt Stallion, wants to team up with the star once again. Rogers added a message to Riddle’s departure announcement. He said, “Let’s team up again. This time in @noah_ghc”, which is nothing but an invite to an old friend. Pro Wrestling Noah is a Japanese pro wrestling promotion founded in 2000. Rogers joined Noah in July of 2022 and could be Rogers’ way of inviting Riddle to the promotion.

This offer was retweeted by Riddle. However, fans are still divided on whether he has accepted the offer or not. Riddle and Rogers have had a long history. They share their origins with the Evolve wrestling promotion. Stallion was also a part of WWE 205 Live before he made his way to independent circuits and then to Noah.
