Everyone goes through phases in their lives when weakness takes over. Even WWE Superstars cannot escape these phases. A good example of this is when former WWE Divas Champion Michelle McCool fell extremely ill.

During her conversation on Chasing Glory with Lilian Garcia, McCool discussed a WWE tour to Ireland back in 2007, when she fell extremely ill.

“We were in Ireland. I remember Dr. Rios had a hanger with an IV from the locker room ceiling. Yeah, it was bad, Mark came in had covered me with his coat. Now, this time I’ve literally still like I was completely out of it. I had a broken sternum at the time from a match a few days prior. I had no idea because I was in so much pain because my organs were just shutting down. My body apparently flushes out sodium.”

So, just drinking water, you know nonstop, and lo and behold, my body was flushing it out. I was in so much pain, but of course, I was trying to hide it because you know if you’re not working, you’re not making money.”

Even though she kept it hidden for a while, the pain reached a point where she couldn’t help calling for medical attention. She couldn’t wrestle for the last two days of the tour, and it took her a while to recover from the pain.

The Undertaker took care of Michelle McCool without her realizing

The Undertaker was also present during the same tour. It was one of those tours where people started noticing that The Deadman was showing affection towards someone else, which was a rare sight.

When McCool fell ill, The Deadman took care of her throughout.

“I guess Mark would cover me with his coat. Like didn’t wear his jacket out to the ring that night, kicked everybody out the locker room where I was at because I was trying to get rest. So little did I even know about cause I was barely conscious that he was taking care of me this whole time.” H/t Chasing Glory with Lilian Garcia.

Even when they returned, The Undertaker arranged for a flight for her from Atlanta because she was completely out of it. Her parents took her to a hospital, and she woke up 16 days later, having no knowledge of what happened for two weeks.
