WWE has been experimenting and attempting new things since coming under Triple H’s control. The corporation has made several shifts so far, and it appears that the Paul Levesque Era, which began with WrestleMania 40, has already decided on its next major step. Everyone has always looked forward to every WWE Premium Live Event that occurs every year. Some PLEs have been in place for many years, while others were discontinued a few years after their introduction.
Bad Blood was one such PLE that was dropped in the same manner. WWE’s Bad Blood PLE debuted in the WWF back in 1997. Why does WWE need to bring back the Bad Blood PLE?
As you are aware, the famous PLE is well-known for being the first PPV to introduce the entire idea of Hell in a Cell to fans. The first bout in the cage featured two iconic figures, Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker, with HBK winning after some interference from Kane. This was the first time people saw this concept of a match and they fell in love with it instantly.
Hell in a Cell match is always entertaining to watch, and with the cancellation of a full PPV around it, the quantity of Hell-in-a-Cell matches has decreased significantly in WWE. People have been expecting matches based on this notion since they are always violent and entertaining for every WWE Universe member.

The idea of reviving this PLE came into the WWE creative room in 2017, however, it was not quite certain at the time. As a result, they abandoned the entire concept of this PLE and created a new one titled ‘The Great Balls of Fire’. This was an average PLE, and thus it was unable to make a comeback the next year due to the low response.
