Dwayne Johnson has broken several records during his career in pro wrestling and as a celebrity. The most recent was the highest number of make-a-wish granted in a day. Johnson took to social media to announce another Guinness World Record. However, as fans watched the celebratory video, they saw a strange connection to The Nature Boy, Ric Flair.

Flair and Johnson have been neck-to-neck thanks to their involvement in the Energy Drink business. Johnson’s ZOA Energy has been competing with Flair’s WOOOOO Energy for the top spot. However, having worked in the WWE, Johnson is a massive Flair mark in real life. On multiple occasions, Johnson has even cited Flair as an inspiration for him.

Taking to social media, Johnson said, “Cool stuff setting a @guinnessworldrecords. Most Followed Actor on @tiktok📱 Most Followed American Man in the World 🌎🇺🇸.” He continued to talk about how he went from a pimply face kid with an afro to the star he is today. The post featured a video showcasing his family man side with clips of his daughters. The video also featured his real-life friend and actor Kevin Hart.

As the video played, fans noticed a very famous tune. This was the theme for Flair that was used as the background song for the video. A fan was quick to comment, “This is The Nature Boy Ric Flair’s iconic entrance theme!!” Others who recognized the theme of the dirtiest player in the game liked the comment, making it reach the top.

Thanks to his father, Rocky Johnson, The Rock was able to meet and interact with Flair at a young age. This bond blossomed as The Rock followed in his father’s footsteps and got into the squared circle. While the use of Flair’s theme was a nice touch, fans noticed another interesting thing.

It is clear that The Rock wants to keep his Final Boss and Dwayne Johnson as two different people. While he has ended multiple social media posts as ‘Final Boss,’ he did not do the same for this one. He ended the post with ‘DJ,’ which is his initial. Fans are patiently waiting for Johnson to make his return to WWE after his Hollywood projects end.

The Rock set the stage to continue his feud with Cody Rhodes on the first RAW post-WrestleMania XL. The WWE Universe wants to see Johnson take on The American Nightmare for the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship. Unfortunately, this may take place only after or around SummerSlam. What do you think of The Rock using Flair’s music? Tell us your thoughts in the comments.
