Social media is currently engulfed in the Drake and Kendrick Lamar feud. The WWE was also brought into the mix when Lamar referenced Shawn Michaels’ Sweet Chin Music in his lyrics on the track Not Like Us. However, the Best in the World, CM Punk, also knows how to make references, and he did so with one of Lamar’s song lyrics.

This took place during his promo on Drew McIntyre, who thankfully left the building before he could hear it.

Taking the ring, Punk cut his promo on the Scottish Warrior. He said, “He’s a hater. He hates the way I look. He hates the way I walk. He hates the way I talk.” Fans of Lamar would notice the similarities in the lyrics of Euphoria. The lyrics are, “I hate the way that you walk, the way that you talk, I hate the way that you dress.”

Fans in attendance popped in for the promo, but the ones online popped for the reference. There was a downpour of comments praising the former AEW star’s creativity in referencing the ongoing hip-hop feud in his promo. The duo have been building their feud since the Royal Rumble. While it all started once the Second City Saint returned to the WWE at Survivor Series, everything kicked up a notch once the Scotsman injured CM Punk at the Rumble. Punk would get his receipt at Mania, where he played a pivotal part in Damian Priest successfully cashing in his MITB contract and taking the WWE World Heavyweight title off McIntyre, who just won it.

While both men haven’t been medically cleared to wrestle, their verbal feud has entertained the fans. Nevertheless, their feud could culminate at a PLE in the future.

When could CM Punk and McIntyre settle their differences in the ring?

According to sources, Punk and McIntyre could be cleared to wrestle at WWE Clash at the Castle in June. While there are WWE King and Queen of the Ring PLE in Saudi, fans are not expecting to be involved either. Clash at the Castle will take place in Scotland, and McIntyre will be the hometown hero.

The WWE has confirmed nothing, as Punk is recovering from a tricep injury and McIntyre from a fractured elbow. Once the two are medically cleared, fans are expecting a complete brawl from the two over-stars. The Scottish Warrior also wants to get his title back, which Punk may see to that it doesn’t happen.
