When it comes to PLEs, WWE stars often love to make pop culture references with their attire. Moreover, with the conservative nature of the Saudi Arabian PLEs, female stars get to do the same. The King and Queen of the Ring PLE held at the Jeddah Superdome saw something similar. Becky Lynch went against Liv Morgan for the WWE Women’s World Championship and paid tribute to an iconic TV show, Peaky Blinders.

Lynch was set to end Morgan’s revenge tour, which targeted her after Rhea Ripley. Dominik Mysterio was also at the event to ensure Mami’s title didn’t change hands.

Becky Lynch sports a Thomas Shelby look at King and Queen of the Ring

Lynch wore a tuxedo-style attire, which the commentary desk immediately linked to the show’s main character, Thomas Shelby. The Man has portrayed similar attributes to the main character of the show. Lynch has taken on opponents much bigger and way more dangerous than her, and her fighting spirit has been inspiring. While the main comparison was to Shelby, online fans quickly made other hilarious comparisons as well.  Many of these were to Tom from Tom and Jerry and Bugs Bunny. They claimed that The Man looked like these iconic characters. Some even compared her to the British synth-pop duo Eurythmics.

Liv Morgan’s dress was linked to Britney Spears. She wore a similar red jumpsuit in the Oops! I Did It Again music video. While both women looked incredible, only one was walking out as the champion. Tonight it was Morgan, thanks to some help.

Dominik Mysterio helped Morgan win against Lynch

While Dirty Dom did make it clear ahead of the match that he didn’t want Mami’s title leaving Lynch’s hands, his actions proved otherwise. Albeit his intentions were good when he tried to help Lynch retain her title, his method was wrong. The Man would never cheat to win, and when Dom Dom tossed a steel chair into the ring, Morgan got her opportunity.

Morgan used the distracted referee to her advantage to make use of the chair. This resulted in Morgan winning and becoming the new WWE Women’s World Champion.
