Last night, the WWE held their first of two non-televised events scheduled for this weekend in Mexico. The WWE Superstars performed in front of fans in Mexico City, where Stephanie Vaquer’s debut finally took place after much anticipation. Vaquer has experienced one of the most frenetic weeks of her professional career.
After surprising the wrestling world with her abrupt departure from CMLL and NJPW, the Chilean wrestler was officially introduced as a new WWE talent. Shawn Michaels confirmed that Vaquer will begin her career at the company in NXT. Before the show began, WWE posted a video on social media filming the arrival of the Chilean wrestler at the Arena CDMX. The video quickly went viral, reaching X million views. “@Steph_Vaquer has arrived and is ready for tonight’s Supershow in Mexico City! #WWEMexicoCity,” WWE wrote.

Stephanie Vaquer made her entrance, took the microphone, and highlighted having fulfilled a dream that had come true. Isla Dawn interrupted the promo by making her entrance to the ring and giving rise to the match. A debut that Vaquer won by the count of three. A debut that surely impressed many. However, one element that still seemed underwhelming was the music used as the theme for Stephanie Vaquer.
While she came out with a very rock-inspired theme when she appeared on AEW: Forbidden Door, her new theme for the WWE was Def Rebel’s Shooting Star. If the music seemed similar to you, it was because it was a theme for the NXT 2.0 program. The theme written by Sergio Veneno is softer, with some elements of hip-hop. However, it does not fit well with the very fantasy gothic gimmick of Vaquer. The best option would be to have her follow the example of a current prominent WWE female star.
WWE could have Stephanie Vaquer follow the example of Jade Cargill

A much more fitting theme would be something similar to the theme used by Jade Cargill. Her theme, ‘A storm is coming’ is one of the best themes in the WWE, as it is given to her based on her character. The same treatment should be given to Vaquer, considering her gimmick stands out from other superstars as she follows a particular theatric element. The WWE would not want to miss the opportunity to utilize her to the fullest. After all, she is a megastar who had AEW calling her to join their ranks. But with this signing, Stephanie Vaquer joins Giulia as WWE’s two big additions to the NXT roster.
She broke into the professional wrestling business in 2009, working for several promotions on the independent circuit until signing with CMLL in 2019. The Chilean soon became one of the most outstanding female talents of the Mexican company, where she was crowned Women’s World Champion and World Tag Team Champion (together with Zeuxis), titles that she left vacant.
