WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar, who has achieved gigantic success with WWE, has had three different spells with the global juggernaut. He was labeled as the “Next Big Thing” when he broke out into the main roster in the early 2000s. However, his first spell on the main roster lasted only two years before he parted ways with the company.

The former Universal Champion made his return to WWE in 2012 having plied his trade in UFC from 2008 to 2011. According to Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett, then WWE CEO Vince McMahon played a masterstroke by loaning the Beast Incarnate out.

When Lesnar completed his comeback to the Stamford-based promotion, he had mastered an aggressive wrestling approach filled with takedowns and knockouts which are highlights of a typical UFC match. Recently speaking on his My World podcast, Jarrett explained that Vince McMahon wanted a uniqueness to the 45-year-old’s character and allowed him to hone himself elsewhere as his return to WWE was inevitable.

“I always looked at Brock, when he was in MMA, Vince is loaning him out, but what is Vince really doing? He’s just doing some character development over at this other brand because I’m gonna get him back [laughs]. I really always looked at their relationship, that Vince just said, ‘Yeah, Brock, go make your money and develop your character a little bit more, but not on my dime.’”
